Stefan Gleeson

Stefan has supported the Wessex PSW for a number of years. He is a general adult consultant psychiatrist, with expertise in autistic spectrum disorder, having run clinics at the Autism Research Centre in Cambridge. Stefan is also an educationalist and Director of Medical Education.

Clare Bridger

Clare is a Consultant Psychiatrist in East Hampshire Learning Disability Team. She has worked in Learning Disability Psychiatry since 2016 as a Registrar and then a Consultant, and has extensive experience of assessing Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

Clare is Lead Tutor for Learning Disability Psychiatry, which involves supporting SAS doctors, doctors in postgraduate training and running the Academic Programme for LD Psychiatry in Wessex, and Education and Clinical Supervisor, and the Module Lead for Part A of the MRCPsych course. She is hugely interested in education and training, and supporting doctors to progress through their training to having successful careers.

Sandy Teal

Sandy supports doctors in postgraduate training to identify the areas of skills development that they would benefit from exploring. Sandy uses a Short Sensory Questionnaire to identify any sensory difficulties and asks doctorss to complete a baseline on interpersonal/communication skills. 

This provides an opportunity to look at how the doctor is functioning socially, with a variety of people, while highlighting the doctor’s strengths, and where they are being successful, but also areas where the doctor could benefit from some teaching.
