The South East Cancer and Diagnostic programme, working within the Workforce Training and Education Directorate of NHS England continues to work closely with multiple partners to support delivery of cancer and diagnostic services by having the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles at the right time.
Applications are now open for funded initiatives the programme hopes to be able to support in 2025/26. Applications close at 9am on Friday 25 April 2025.
Please note – 2025/26 funding has not yet been confirmed, and guidance documentation is subject to change pending sign off by the national NHSE programme.

Training grants to support the development of new and existing Chemotherapy Nurses, in accessing training and development opportunities aligned to the ACCEND framework.

Clinical Endoscopist programme
Fully funded intensive training programme (both academic and clinical education and training), to train and upskill existing healthcare staff to become proficient clinical endoscopists, increasing capacity to allow consultants to perform more complex cases (including screening). We also offer upskilling grants for clinical endoscopists to extend their practice.
