This page is to ensure that Public Health trainees are aware of the specific requirements and resources available for their Annual Review of Competency Progression (ARCP). Information and guidance on the ARCP process can be found on our Accreditation and Revalidation pages and should be used in conjunction with this page.
All trainees within the Public Health Specialty training programme are required to undertake a yearly assessment of their progress with a small specialty-based panel. This is integral to enable a Specialty Registrar to progress to the next year. All trainees are given at least six weeks’ notice to provide the necessary documentation for the review.
In preparation for ARCPs, in addition to the guidance available in the Accreditation and Revalidation pages.
Public Health Registrars will also be required to provide evidence of the the following:
- Learning Outcome grid from current year signed by Registrar and Educational Supervisor
- Signed Learning Outcome grid from previous year
- Time Out of Training Records (TOOT) Form
- Training Record
Trainees are responsible for keeping their e-Portfolio up to date and to ensure ARCP folders are closed on completion.
