This conference provides an opportunity to bring together a diverse audience from different backgrounds, and involved in medical education, to listen to inspirational and knowledgeable speakers. The first Wessex Valuing Diversity (Building Inclusive NHS Communities) conference took place in March 2023, and following its success we plan to run it annually and cover different themes and areas of focus, whilst recognising the unavoidable intersectionality of them all.

We hope the programme will be beneficial; to a range of stakeholders, including Wessex International Medical Graduates (IMGs), as well as addressing one or two of the protected characteristics:

- Gender reassignment
- Being married or in a civil partnership
- Being pregnant or on maternity leave
