Exam skills
Bespoke courses have been developed to help Wessex core and specialty postgraduate doctors in training (doctors) gain the generic exam skills they require to pass exams. Wessex trust and staff grade doctors are also encouraged to attend if places are available.
We are sorry but we are currently unable to release dates for activities beyond 1 Aug 2025. NHS England is required to make significant savings this financial year and as a result the delivery of all PDU-coordinated and PDU-funded activity from 1 Aug 2025 onwards is under review.
We will publish details of available events if/as and when they are confirmed.
We are sorry for any disappointment this causes and thank you for your understanding as we work through these challenges.

Specialty exam preparation
Several specialty specific exam courses have been developed within Wessex to help Wessex doctors gain the necessary knowledge and skills required to pass specialty exams. Wessex trust and staff grade doctors are also eligible to attend if places are available.
These courses range from one to eight days in length, according to the volume of material which needs to be covered. All provide delegates with the much-needed opportunity to dedicate time and focus on exam preparation, without disruption.
