The Hampshire and Isle of Wight (HIOW) Region Public Health Development Network supports the capacity and capability of the public health and wider workforces to enable them to deliver the public health function. The HIOW Region network includes the following local authorities:
- Portsmouth
- Southampton
- Hampshire
- Isle of Wight
The Network supports local authority Public Health Workforce Development Leads to deliver a number of programmes including:
- Public Health Practitioner Programmes
- Public Health Leadership Development of Public Health Teams
- Training, Education and CPD of public health workforces
- Public health development of wider workforces
- Supporting the delivery of MECC (Making Every Contact Count) to the core and wider public health workforce
