Our resident doctors take different paths through GP training for various reasons (e.g. Less Than Full Time Training, Time out of Programme, order of post rotations). This can cause confusion  about which GP training events to attend and when to move from one group to another. Here is a guide to help you understand:

> ST1/2 (Southampton) – for all GP registrars in ST1 or ST2

> Jersey ST1/2 and FY2 – for all GP registrars & FY2s working in Jersey

> ST3 – for all GP registrars who have transitioned to ST3 (The entry points for the ST3 Day Release programme are August and February. If your transition date is out of synch with this, your entry to the ST3 Day Release programme may be delayed or brought forward a bit so that you start the same time as a group of peers.)

> OOS – ‘The Out of Synch group’ is for anyone who has completed the full ST3 day release programme but not yet reached CCT. It enables you to keep in touch on a monthly basis whilst you complete your training.

> SCA support – monthly sessions for any ST3 GP registrar who is actively preparing to sit the SCA (typically in the 3 months leading up to your exam)

> GP Small groups – monthly sessions for any GP registrar currently working in a GP practice  (whether full time or ITP) who is not attending the ST3 Day release group. ie. ST1s, ST2s and Southampton FY2s working in GP practices
