Free health care support workers leadership and professional practice development opportunity
Education for Health are running a health care support workers (HCSWs) leadership and professional practice development opportunity, which is fully funded by NHS England. HEE Thames Valley and Wessex Primary Care School will be supporting this course by administering the relevant voucher codes.
This course will aid health care assistants (HCAs) and HCSWs who are looking to pursue their clinical development and are considering progression into the nursing associate role in the future. It is an opportunity HCAs and HCSWs to develop professional practice and personal leadership skills through:
· Reflecting and building on existing knowledge
· Develop academic writing and research skills
· Gain 15 credits at level four through an interactive and blended online learning course
· Completing Functional Skills (if required)

Fully funded clinical skills portfolio course
This course is a fantastic, full funded, opportunity for any new health care assistants (HCA) working in General Practice to increase their skills and competencies in a range of clinical skills and areas of practice. In addition, this course can be used as a refresher for existing HCAs who would benefit from a new set of practice competencies. Individuals in personalised care or General Practice assistant roles might also find the content of this course helpful. As may those looking to move from an administrative capacity into a more a clinical role.
The interactive two-day workshops focus on evidence and accountability and will cover several core subjects as well as providing a competency framework for completion and further learning back in the workplace. Using a blend of resources such as quizzes, case studies, practice sessions, scenarios and group discussion, the teaching will be both fun and informative.
