The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education’s (CPPE) Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Pharmacy leaders development programme is for experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who aspire to lead large and complex NHS departments, services, teams or systems of care to benefit patients and local communities.

This fully funded leadership programme is open to anyone who has responsibility for leading a team or services within their organisation, and would like to develop their skills further. To apply, visit the CPPE Leading for change programme webpage.

A series of online sessions over 12-months to develop professional leadership and provide a professional support network with other pharmacy technicians.

All pharmacy technicians and pharmacists employed in Primary Care in an ARRS role will be expected to complete the Primary Care pharmacy education pathway. NHS England Workforce Training and Education directorate (WT&E) have commissioned the CPPE to deliver this training to pharmacy professionals.

elearning modules

This elearning programme aims to update pharmacy professionals’ knowledge of working with care homes, including roles and responsibilities, and helping residents optimise their medicines. Access via the CPPE Care homes: supporting people, optimising medicines webpage.

A range of elearning modules to develop your knowledge in a range of management and leadership topics. Developed in partnership with elearning for Health (elfh) and Yorkshire and Humber elearning club.

They are suitable for multi-professional health and social care team leaders and managers or aspiring managers at all levels. For more information visit the elfh Management and leadership skills programme webpage.

Delivered through elfh in partnership with University of East Anglia, De Montfort University, Keele University and NHS England WT&E.
