The vast majority of the time, healthcare is safe and high quality care is delivered to patients. It is possible to sometimes lose sight of this in the patient safety world whilst focussing on what went wrong.
HEE Wessex has been working with Appreciating People to deliver programmes to look at Safety II, when things go well, so that we may capture this learning. The themes and practice are widely applicable to the workplace and healthcare. Wessex hopes that this will be the start of building a faculty to support Appreciative Inquiry (AI) across the region.
