Calling all Allied Health Professionals, registered Nurses and Nursing Associates working in Primary Care in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight! Search no further for your CPD planning.
Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (HIOW) Training Hub exists to lead, connect and enable the development of the entire Primary Care workforce, as part of a national network of Training Hubs, and we’re delighted to invite you to join us for a wide range of educational sessions, aimed at enabling you to keep up to date and to develop your career.
With support from the NHS England Thames Valley and Wessex Primary Care school, our training hubs offer support to practices and educators and enable placements for learners of all professions in primary care. We champion learning and improving the quality of educational experience for everyone, and in recent years have vastly expanded the number of PCNs approved to host learners through our Clinical Learning Environment approvals process. We know that involvement in education and training is one of the most effective routes to improvement in the quality of patient care, so we’re committed to enabling this activity to become part of the culture in every healthcare setting across the region.
Please take a moment to review the CPD on offer from HIOW Training Hub and sign up for whatever you need to develop yourself and your practice, helping you to ensure your patients can access the confident and excellent care they need.

Continuing Professional Development
What is Continuing Professional Development?
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) refers to the ongoing process by which health care professionals maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge, skills and competence throughout their careers.
It is both a registered professional requirement, and a career development tool, ensuring staff can deliver safe, effective and up-to-date person-centred care, aligning with health population needs. All healthcare professionals have a responsibility to identify their CPD needs, and work with their employer to plan how those needs could be met.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Primary Care Training Hub provides access to funded CPD opportunities for eligible members of the primary care workforce. Whether you want to develop expertise in your current role, respond to a changing service need or take the next step in your career, we can help you explore the opportunities available.
Develop your skills. Strengthen your practice. Support better patient care.
