This is a Trust appointed role, but the person holds an accountability both to the Trust and towards Wessex. They are responsible for:
- Regional and local implementation of the programme, including raising the local profile of training and education for SAS doctors
- Advocating and supporting access to national funding
- Providing support for SAS doctors within a Trust area
- Development and maintenance of working relationships with the Director of Medical Education and Clinical Directors
- Contributing to the SAS development Programme Board
