Evolution of Primary Care Network learning environments
The NHS Long Term Plan (2019) set out a commitment to strengthen General Practice by working collaboratively at scale. A key part of this vision is expanding educational capacity while maintaining high-quality learning environments and educator standards.
What We Do
The Primary Care School supports Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to grow and sustain educational capacity. We ensure learners at all levels receive high-quality educational experiences that contribute to workforce development and long-term sustainability in Primary Care.

Explore the Learning Environment Approval Programme (LEAP)
To further support educators and learning environments, we offer LEAP —a structured initiative designed to enhance clinical education across PCNs.
