HIOW Primary Care AHP Network

HEE Wessex Primary Care Training Hubs (PCTH) AHP Advisors are delighted to launch the HIOW Primary Care AHP Network on Wednesday 10th February 2021, 19.00-20:30.

Aim of the network:

The Primary Care (PC) Allied Health Professionals (AHP) network is facilitated by HEE Wessex PCTH and the aim is to provide a coordinated forum for AHPs working in Primary Care (PC) to access peer support. This will include support across all pillars of advancing practice, and engagement is welcome from registered practitioners of any Agenda for Change band with an interest in working in or supporting PC. The network has four main objectives:

  1. To provide a forum for AHPs in PC to share learning, challenges, or opportunities, and enable peer-led clinical reflection and support in understanding of guidance, competency and supervision requirements.
  2. To identify areas of common need and provide coordinated communication to external organisations
  3. To share best practice methods, processes, or improvement strategies and related supporting resource/documentation to unnecessary duplication of works
  4. To establish a collaborative network with the common goal of reducing unjustifiable variation in AHP support or provision of services across the HIOW region
